Strawberry Shortcake – Field & Fire style
6 thick cut slices of Field & Fire Brioche (crusts removed)
1.5 lbs organic strawberries
5 tbsp organic sugar
1 cup organic heavy whipping cream
1 tsp organic vanilla
Serves 6 | Prep 1 hour
Remove stems from strawberries and cut into small pieces. In a medium bowl, mix together strawberries and 4 tbsp sugar. Let rest in the fridge for 1+ hours so the sugar can draw the moisture out of the strawberries.
For the whipped topping, whisk or use mixer to blend the heavy cream, 1 tbsp sugar and vanilla until peaks form.
Spoon strawberries over the slices of brioche and then top with whipped cream.
